Physical Therapist (PT) - Texas, Bryan

Job Details

Patient Load & Work Expectations

• Expectation of 1 completed evaluation per hour
• If performing daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift
• Patient population includes Level III trauma center cases, telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, general medical
• Mostly adults or older teens

Orientation & Coverage

• Floor-specific orientation for 3-5 days depending on acute care experience
• Oriented to hospital, EMR (Meditech), procedures, and protocols
• Primary coverage area is acute care for Bryan hospital; minimal coverage at nearby College Station acute care hospital

Team & Support

• Rehab aides, OTAs, PTAs available (average staff includes 5 PTAs and 2-3 techs)

Uniform

• Maroon scrubs

Additional Information

• BLS Certification required
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable
• Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination
• May be asked to precept as needed by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Physical Therapy license appropriate for Texas
• BLS Certification
