Job Opportunity: Nurse Manager

Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Length: 16 weeks

Role Summary

This Nurse Manager position combines charge nurse, clinical mentor, and managerial responsibilities. The clinician provides on-shift leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care while supporting staff and fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities include:

• Rounding on patients
• Addressing service or safety concerns
• Serving as a resource for clinical and interpersonal issues
• Taking charge nurse assignments as needed based on census and staffing levels

Schedule

• Days
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• First to float

Required Qualifications

• Must have been a charge RN in the last assignment
• No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required)
• ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS - AHA or APEX certifications required
• 3 weeks of orientation: 1 week classroom, 2 weeks unit orientation

Experience
