Job Opportunity: Temporary Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
As a Respiratory Therapist on this interdisciplinary team, you will provide and manage patient care, potentially floating within the same discipline across local campuses. The role involves some equipment management for Pediatric/Adolescent patients.
Work Schedule & Environment
- 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours
- Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limited time off allowed during late November and late December holiday periods
- EMR system used: EPIC
- Night shift bonus: 16 hours
- On-call and overtime pay multipliers apply
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Iowa (IA RCP license)
- Minimum 2 years of previous RRT experience (highest required years of experience)
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required)
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience strongly desired
- Home Health experience is a plus
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
Additional Requirements
- Work history/resume
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year
- License verification and required certifications
- One supervisory reference at time of submission
- Proof of taxable address (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
