Description

Job Opportunity: Temporary Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Location: Glens Falls, New York
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and patient/family/public education.
Work with inpatients and outpatients of all ages with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies or abnormalities.
Follow established protocols or physician prescriptions.
Provide respiratory care duties across all hospital areas.
Must have experience with EPIC electronic health records system.

Required Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC RRT).
Current New York State Respiratory Therapist License.
Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
Critical Care proficiency.
Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience required.
Must have completed training in verbal de-escalation from approved programs (e.g., Welle or CPI) as part of onboarding.
Must be able to pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
Permanent address must be provided and verified; candidates from certain New York counties are not eligible for this assignment.
