Job Opportunity: Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT Outpatient)

Location: Martin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with consideration for a 4x10 schedule (7 AM - 6 PM)
• No on-call, holiday, or weekend shifts required
• Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic serving a variety of patients, primarily orthopedic cases but may include other diagnoses due to rural location
• Team includes an OCS PT and 3 PTAs providing strong support

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapy)
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred in specialty
• Current Tennessee PT license or compact license valid in Tennessee
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with Redoc/Net Health charting system preferred

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience not required; locals and first-time travelers accepted equally

Required Certifications and Documents

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC acceptable
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (within 1 year of start)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year) and annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; booster if low/equivocal)
  • Hepatitis B (titer or series; booster if low/equivocal)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; booster if low/equivocal)
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (11/1 - 3/31), no exemptions accepted
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Background check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluation
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty

Additional Requirements

• EPIC test out required (with one attempt allowed) unless exempted by facility
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• N95 fit test required within 1 year of start, updated annually (no PAPR allowed)

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for an outpatient physical therapist with at least 1 year of experience, licensed to practice in Tennessee. The position offers a standard weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call duties. Candidates must meet standard healthcare compliance requirements including immunizations, certifications, background checks, and drug screening. Prior travel experience is not mandatory.
