Job Description

• Primary and team nursing
• Primary stroke care

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Valid New York State RN license (State License Verification required)

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• 8 Hours of Stroke Training (including NIHSS)

Experience

• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN Medical/Surgical experience expected (recommend verifying with recruiter)
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Competency and Skills

• Completion of Arnot Skills Checklist for the assigned unit
• Passing score (80% or higher) on Arnot Core Competency Exam for RNs

Health and Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine (proof or agency declination)
• MMR immunity (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series)
• Hepatitis B immunity or declination form
• Influenza vaccine or declination form (mask required if declined)
• Varicella immunity (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series)
• Tdap vaccine (preferred, not required; declination form if no record)
• TB Test within last 12 months (PPD or Quantiferon; follow-up CXR if prior positive)
• Fit Test for approved respirators within last 12 months
• Annual Physical/Health Statement with no restrictions
• Agency Drug Screen (9+ panel) within 30 days of start

Professional Requirements

• Valid US Driver’s License or State ID (not expired)
• Agency Background Check within 30 days of start (includes criminal and county checks for last 7 years)
• Arnot Resume documenting employment and education history for last 7 years
• Two professional references (one within last 12 months, one within last 3 years)
• Employment verification from most recent employer (agency verification accepted)
• Education verification of initial nursing degree (ASN or BSN)
• Signed Arnot Job Description
• Completion of Arnot Health Personal Information Form, Code of Conduct, Confirmation of Assignment Form, Self Study Packet and Quiz, Sexual Harassment Acknowledgement, Parking Registration Form, and AH Drug Tobacco Acknowledgement
• 7 Instant Background Checks (including NYOMIG, OFAC, OIG, PA Registry, NSO, SAM, NY Registry)

• Arnot Epic Questionnaire and TB Questionnaire Form required (annual)
• Arnot Health Reassessment form required for extended travelers with no break in service on same campus and position

This position is ideal for RNs with medical/surgical experience who are comfortable with stroke care protocols and meet comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
