Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN Medical/Surgical)

Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work as part of team and primary nursing teams
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and ACLS certification required prior to start

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid New York State RN license (State License Verification required)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • 8 Hours of Stroke Training (including NIHSS)
• Competency:

  • Must pass Arnot Core Competency Exam with 80% or higher
  • Complete Arnot Skills Checklist for assigned unit
• Health Requirements:

  • COVID-19 Vaccine (proof or agency declination)
  • MMR immunity (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series)
  • Hepatitis B immunity or declination form
  • Influenza vaccine or declination form (mask required if declined)
  • Varicella immunity (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series)
  • Tdap vaccine or declination form (preferred, not required)
  • TB testing within last 12 months (PPD or Quantiferon/Spot test)
  • Annual Fit Test for approved respirators
  • Physical/Health Statement within last 12 months (including vitals and vision)
• Professional Requirements:

  • Valid US Driver’s License or State ID
  • Agency Background Check (including national and county criminal checks) within 30 days of start
  • Agency Drug Screen (9+ panel) within 30 days of start
  • Arnot Resume documenting 7 years employment and education history
  • Two professional references (one within last 12 months, one within last 3 years)
  • Employment verification from most recent employer (agency verification accepted)
  • Education verification of initial nursing degree (ASN or BSN)
  • Signed Arnot Job Description
  • Arnot Health Personal Information Form, Code of Conduct, Confirmation of Assignment, Self Study Packet and Quiz, Sexual Harassment Acknowledgement, Parking Registration Form, AH Drug Tobacco Acknowledgement
