Description

Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Location: Lansing, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Deliver respiratory therapy and patient care following physician’s orders, hospital policies, and departmental standards.
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures.
  • Evaluate patient response to respiratory therapy and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide education to patients and staff on respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to respiratory therapy work.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, ICU, ER, and arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures.
  • ACLS certification is preferred but not required.
