Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist (Temp)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures in mammography requiring independent judgment and initiative. Responsibilities include facilitating diagnosis, operating and troubleshooting CR, DR, PACS, HIS, and RIS systems, and maintaining patient confidentiality and infection control standards. May have supervisory or instructional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Day shifts only (no 10 or 12-hour shifts)
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
• No schedule accommodations or block scheduling allowed
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during assignment; all RTO must be submitted at time of application
• Must have own vehicle
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience with at least 1 year current experience
• Minimum 2 years current Mammography experience
• ARRT (R) Certification (Radiologic Technologist)
• ARRT (M) Certification (Mammography)
• Massachusetts Radiology license or application in process
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Skills checklist documentation for Mammography and X-Ray current to 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech Expanse system

Additional Information

• Must comply with all departmental and hospital policies including infection control and OSHA standards
• Maintain competencies and attend mandatory annual education (blood borne pathogens, infection control, etc.)
• Excellent patient care skills required
• Facility is a 298-bed teaching hospital with a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department
