Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 26 weeks (flexible)
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- No call hours, no weekends, no holidays
- Contract length flexible between 13 to 26 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of MRI tech experience (highest required)
- Siemens MRI scanner experience required (Vida, Aera, Skyra, Avanto)
- Experience with routine Neuro, body, MSK exams (No cardiac exams)
- First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as applicable (check with employer)
- Ohio radiology license NOT required for MRI Techs
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Criminal background check (updated if break in service ≥ 2 months)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (monthly)
- Transcript/Diploma verification
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start (can start with results pending)
- National certification verification prior to start and upon expiration
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific approved masks)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start, with annual symptom assessment
- Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (no instant screens)
- Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/31-3/31)
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references
- Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical acute care experience in a similar area
- Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually
Orientation & Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start
- Badge pickup on first day (no photo submission required for MRI Techs)
