Location
- City: Cartersville, Georgia

- Required Years of Experience: 2 years (hard stop)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (unit accepts first-time travelers)
Work Schedule
- Weekend: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Holidays: If one major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if two, expected to work both; if three, expected to work two.
- Major Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day.
Orientation & Compliance
- Maximum Return to Orientation (RTO) time: 7 days
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment).
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the state of Georgia
- Annual NURSYS verification within 30 days prior to start
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for ICU specialty
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required if working in PACU/Pre-op/Endo/CSU or ER with pediatric patients
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - If applicable per unit description
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - Online course required within a few months of hire if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification - If required by unit description, must be completed yearly
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for ICU and related units; up to 3 attempts allowed)
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start; must be complete prior to start
- Education verification of related degree required; can be pending at start with proof of processing (due within 30 days post start)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually
- Immunizations:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters allowed post-start if eligible
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters allowed post-start if eligible
- Hepatitis B series or signed declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
Additional Requirements
- Color Blind Testing Online (required for all candidates)
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
- Work history verification of most recent employer; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- Two clinical references required
Additional Notes
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
- Floating assignments may be required within the facility and scope of practice
This position is suitable for ICU Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of experience, including those new to travel nursing.
