Physical Therapist Position - Wisconsin (Ladysmith)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• Wisconsin Physical Therapy License

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience outside of school (required)
• Preferred 3 years of experience outside of school
• Prefer inpatient experience but will consider outpatient-only experience
• Prefer prior Cerner experience

Patient Load and Setting

• Average 10-12 patients per 8-hour day
• Patient types: Mainly orthopedic (post-surgical, general pain), neurological, imbalance, weakness
• Work settings: Acute inpatient, Swingbed rehab (census 3-4; 2-3 hours per shift), and outpatient
• Coverage typically includes 2-3 hours inpatient/Swingbed daily plus outpatient

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 5-8 hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• May consider 4-10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• No weekends or holiday work required

Work Environment and Orientation

• Fast-paced, busy environment
• Orientation includes one-on-one with manager, computer-based training, and 1-2 days with a preceptor
• Expected to take a patient independently by day 2 and full caseload by day 3
• Dress code: Scrubs or business casual with closed-toed shoes

Additional Notes

• Rehab aide/appt coordinator available for scheduling, authorizations, cleaning, stocking, and record requests; no PTAs on staff
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Prior work at this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
