Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - LTC

Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Information

• Type of Facility: Nursing Home attached to hospital
• Number of Beds/Residents: 70 (majority private)
• EMR System: ECS
• Patient Population: Dementia, frail elderly, rehabilitation
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

  • RNs: 1:20
  • LPNs: 1:20
  • CNAs: 1:8
• Interdisciplinary Team: Therapy, Administration, Social Workers, Activities, Dietary, Housekeeping
• Respiratory Therapist on-site 24/7
• Pharmacy on-site with medication dispensing system

Job Duties

• Charting and assessments
• Charge nurse duties
• Medication administration
• Clinical skills including IVs, catheters, ostomy care
• Floating between units as needed

Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Block schedule, 8-hour shifts
• Staffing: 4 nurses and 7 aides during day/pm shifts; 2 nurses and 3-4 aides at night
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must be available for at least half of the holidays during assignment
• No on-call or standby required
• Dress Code: Any solid color, clean and professional

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience working with elderly patients required
• Experience with IVs and titratable drips required

Additional Notes

• No telemonitors or RN strip reading required
• No team conferences for acute inpatient rehab required
• Must have not worked at this facility within the last 6 months if previously employed there
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
