Description

Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Specialty: Cath Lab Tech


Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
  • ARRT or RCES certification accepted
  • ACLS, BLS certification required
  • Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery required
  • ICU or PACU experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of IABP & Impella insertion required
  • Experience with cardiac procedures, including right and left heart catheterization, structural heart and vascular cases (e.g., TAVR, mitral clip)
  • Ability to scrub, monitor, and document during procedures
  • Prefer experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Job Duties

  • Scrub, monitor, and document during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures
  • Assist with circulating, prep, and recovery (RN roles also available with cardiac procedural experience)
  • May take cases over to the EP lab as part of a combined Cath Lab/EP unit
  • Work as part of a team with RNs, techs, charge nurses, and lead technologists

Work Schedule & Call

  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Call: 8-10 days of call in a 6-week period
  • On-call when not in-house

Orientation & Environment

  • 1 week unit/department-specific orientation
  • Dress code/scrub color provided
  • Use of EPIC, MacLab, and GE Imaging equipment

Additional Notes

  • Must be a team player
  • May work past normal shift end time to complete cases
  • Experience with prep and recovery is important

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Technologists with strong procedural skills and certifications, comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with call responsibilities.
