Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, nights (7 PM - 7 AM), every other week (EOW). Holidays as needed.
• Float required if needed; travelers may float across all facilities within the system.
• Patient population primarily Medical-Surgical (MS) with telemetry capability.
• Patient types include:

  • Observation patients
  • Respiratory conditions/problems
  • General Medical Surgical diagnoses
  • Palliative, End of Life, Hospice patients
  • Psychiatric Observation
  • Diabetes (new diabetics and those with complications)
  • Surgical patients and surgical observation
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system.
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Experience working with Pediatric patients.

Certifications (as applicable)

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be preferred depending on unit.
• Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, TNCC, CPI may be required or preferred depending on unit.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) may be preferred for certain units.
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Dysrhythmia and Medication) required for all RNs except Behavioral Health and Case Managers.
• NURSYS verification of RN license within 60 days of start.

Additional Information

• Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
• Must complete all compliance requirements by deadlines prior to start date.
• Floating across units and facilities is mandatory.
• Candidates must complete onboarding tasks including Workday login and multi-factor authentication setup.
• Facility requires strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
