Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Travel Position

Location: Franklin, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in an Acuity Adaptable Unit (not a pure ICU)
  • Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW), Every Other Holiday (EOH)
  • Required experience:
    • Minimum 2 years nursing experience
    • ICU experience required
    • CRRT experience required
  • Preferred skills: Balloon pump and Swan experience a plus
  • Competency in Sheath Pulls and EPIC system required
  • May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience with ICU specialty
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current RN license in good standing for Wisconsin
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ACLS (AHA) certification required

Immunizations & Health Requirements

  • Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological evidence of immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit test for N95 respirators required (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+), updated annually

Background & Screening

  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 30 days of assignment
  • Employment verification for the past 7 years
  • Drug screening: 12 panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
  • License and certificate primary source verification within 30 days prior to start

Competency & Testing

  • Ascension Specialty Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc., updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years)
  • Ascension Epic Test-Out (training and test results required)
  • Skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually

Other Requirements

  • Health statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • Valid driver’s license or state ID (must match address on file)
  • Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background (no alterations)
  • Completion of onboarding education and attestations prior to or at start
