Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery (Travel)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) for 8 weeks
• Holidays: Rotating with regular staff
• Required experience: Labor & Delivery, specifically high-risk labor and delivery
• Circulator experience for cesarean deliveries required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license valid in Wisconsin
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) required
• Fit Test (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+) required, updated annually
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination required
• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
• Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years required
• TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire required
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA within 90 days of start required
• Ascension-specific requirements including:

  • Specialty Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
  • Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc., updated every 3 years)
  • Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within past 2 years)
  • Color Vision test prior to start and updated every 3 years
  • Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
  • 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
  • Criminal Background Check, EPLS, Education and Employment Verification as per agency standards
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Ascension onboarding requirements and attestations

Additional Information

• Must provide a valid driver's license/state ID matching home state for compact license purposes
• Resume/profile and at least two professional references required prior to first assignment
• Post-assignment evaluations and other compliance documentation required
• May be required to float to other nearby sites within 40 miles
