Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Location: Randallstown, Maryland
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
• Unit Highlights:

  • Primary Stroke Center (Gold Plus with AHA)
  • STEMI cases with possible Cath intervention
  • 2 locked units for Behavioral Health care (ratio 1:6) supported by ED staffing and security
  • 2 rapid evaluation units for urgent and critical care needs with rapid medical screenings
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients

Compliance & Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID required (valid driver's license or state ID)
• I9 and E-Verify documentation required
• NURSYS primary source verification for RN license
• Education verification and transcript/diploma preferred (especially if nursing education completed outside Maryland)
• Negative 9 panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical and health documents must be completed and labs done by Monday prior to start to ensure on-time start
• TB Questionnaire updated annually
• ReadySet account setup and health assessment surveys must be completed prior to start

Prior Travel Experience

• Not required (Unit accepts first-time travelers)

Summary

This is a travel/contract position for an experienced ER Registered Nurse to work night shifts in a busy Emergency Department with specialized units including stroke, STEMI, behavioral health, and rapid evaluation. The role requires a minimum of 3 years RN experience, current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications, and compliance with extensive health, background, and competency requirements. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
