Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room (Travel)

Location: Racine, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work every 3rd weekend, End of Hour (EOH) shift
• 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience

Licenses & Certifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin (or compact license valid in Wisconsin)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Certification, updated as required
• Epic Test-Out certification (completion and signed attestation required)

Health & Immunizations

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
• Documented proof of two Varicella vaccines or immunity (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccination, valid for 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit Test for N95 respirators (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+), updated annually

Other Requirements

• Health statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 2-step PPD or IGRA within 90 days prior to start
• 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Criminal background check, EPLS, and other verifications as required by employer
• Verification of education and employment history
• Professional references (at least two)
• Valid driver's license or state ID (must meet state and compact license address requirements)
• Completion of specialty exams and core competencies with minimum passing scores
• Color vision test, updated every 3 years
• Completion of onboarding requirements and attestation

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on staffing needs

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room RNs who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have proficiency with EPIC. The role requires adherence to strict immunization and health screening protocols and maintaining current certifications.
