Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Burlington, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM), every other week (EOW), holidays as needed
Float required: All travelers must float between all facilities in the system
Patient population: Inpatient unit with a variety of patients, specializing in stroke (neuro) care
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
Experience with multiple co-morbidities required

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry settings
Experience in an inpatient setting
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience accessing ports
Experience with blood product administration
Experience in central line care and management
Experience managing PICC lines
Experience starting IVs
Experience with nasal cannula use
