Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Options: 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts (every other weekend)
• Call Requirements:

  • 1 night of call per week
  • 1 weekend of call every 6th weekend
  • Call crew stays until all cases are done and receives a day off after call
• Orientation: 1-2 days of unit orientation
• Unit: Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (4 rooms, 15-20 cases per day)
• Equipment: Siemens/Phillips cath lab equipment (experience helpful but not required)
• Procedures/Tools Used: Laser, rotablator, nitric oxide, IVUS, Impella, IABP, FFR, angiojet
• Patient Population: STEMI receiving center; candidates should be comfortable with critically ill patients
• Additional Info:

  • Scrubs provided
  • No floating required
  • Pharmacy available 24/7
  • Cardiologist and respiratory therapist available 24/7
  • Respiratory therapist present during ventilator cases
  • Agency must provide radiation badge for traveler
  • Must complete all MyJourney modules prior to arrival (no exceptions)
  • CERNER experience required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Active ARRT certification
• Active BLS certification
• Active CRT certification (RCIS not accepted)
• Fluoroscopy experience and fluoro certification required
• Experience with peripheral and coronary circulation procedures required
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Summary

This is a travel contract opportunity for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with strong X-ray and fluoroscopy skills. The role requires working in a busy STEMI receiving center with advanced cath lab equipment and a variety of interventional tools. Candidates must be comfortable managing critically ill patients and meet all certification and training requirements before starting.
