Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience for a temporary assignment in Massachusetts. The role requires flexibility to float to different units and strong clinical skills in dysrhythmia recognition.

Required Qualifications

• License: Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience (highest required years)
• Specialty Skills:

  • Telemetry experience required
  • Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
  • Willingness to float to different units required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • All certifications must be current and uploaded with profile; facility will not pend certifications
• Other Requirements:

  • Must have own vehicle for assignment
  • Must provide permanent address with profile (travelers residing within 50 miles of facility will not be considered)
  • Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime")
  • Requested time off during assignment must be noted at profile upload; no more than 5 days of time off accepted
  • No block scheduling or 48-hour guaranteed time available for this assignment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system highly preferred

Additional Information

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Scheduling requests must be finalized at submission; no changes allowed after offer

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

This position is ideal for experienced Medical Surgical RNs comfortable with telemetry and flexible floating assignments, who meet Massachusetts licensing and certification requirements.
