Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Mattoon, Illinois

Job Description

Operating Room Nurses are responsible for delivering competent nursing care according to the standards of practice for the OR setting. The role involves patient care and service through a multidisciplinary team approach, maintaining an environment of caring and concern for patients and staff, aligned with patient-focused care and customer service principles.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of circulating experience in the OR (highest required years of experience)
• Clinical Proficiencies:

  • Orthopedics: total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes and replacements
  • General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Gynecology, and Urology procedures
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Additional Requirements:

  • Work history and skills checklist relevant to Operating Room nursing, current within 1 year
  • Two supervisory references with employment dates
  • Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered)
