Job Opportunity: IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Specialty: IR Tech (Interventional Radiology)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in Interventional Radiology unit with 2 general IR suites, 1 Spine IR room, and 2 neuro endovascular suites.
- Typical cases include GI/GJ tubes, Ports, angiograms, lumbar punctures, nephrostomy tubes, stents, IVC filters, blood patches.
- Neuro endovascular procedures (embolizations, stents, stroke treatment) experience preferred but not required.
- Sedation cases involve 2 RNs and RTs scrubbing with MD.
- Shifts: Day shifts, 8 hours Monday-Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:30 pm).
- Possible weekend work, including some Saturdays.
- No call requirement.
- No floating outside Radiology.
- Floor-specific orientation includes Philips Allera and Medrad injector systems.
- EMR system used: Cerner and DR (PACS).
- Cases per day: 5-10.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS Certification
- ARRT (R) Certification
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Additional Notes
- Candidates cannot work two contracts simultaneously within this system.
- Must have been off permanent staff at this system for 12 months to be eligible for travel assignment.
- Weekly orientations on Mondays (except holidays).
- Parking provided with shuttle service; night shift parking in garage.
- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma center and teaching hospital with a focus on tertiary care and transplant specialties.
- Maximum contract length accepted is 13 weeks (no shorter contracts considered).
This position is ideal for IR Technologists with solid trauma and teaching hospital experience, ARRT certification, and Arizona licensure looking for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment.
