Physical Therapist (PT) - Outpatient (Days)

Location: Bad Axe, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide physical therapy to help reduce pain and restore function and independence in patients recovering from surgery, injury, serious illness, or coping with chronic conditions. Utilize a multidisciplinary approach combining exercise, strength training, manual therapy, and modalities to create individualized treatment plans. Treatment begins with a physician's prescription and a comprehensive evaluation. Work one-on-one with patients to help them return to work and normal daily activities safely and efficiently.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of swing bed, acute, and outpatient physical therapy experience (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) institution (required)
• Michigan Physical Therapist License (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Orthopedic physical therapy experience
• Prior travel experience preferred (not required)

Additional Information

• Dress code: scrubs or polos with khaki pants
• References are not required
• Skills checklist within one year preferred but not required for non-nursing professions
• Michigan license verification required
• Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed
• Full-time employees of the employer are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
