Travel RN ICU Job - Texas (Waco)

Job Details

  • Specialty: RN ICU
  • Location: Waco, Texas

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Unit: Conglomerate ICU unit including medical, surgical, and cardiovascular
  • Float Requirement: Must be able to float between ICU and step-down critical care service lines

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Minimum 3 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted but mask required
  • TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit Test: Required annually for respiratory protection

Background & Compliance

  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 30 days of assignment)
  • Employment and education verifications (within 90 days of start)
  • Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
  • Driver’s License or State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)

Additional Information

  • Must complete onboarding requirements including various attestations and education modules prior to or at start
  • Flu season mask policy applies during October 1 through March 31
  • No prior travel experience explicitly required

This position requires a highly skilled ICU RN with strong critical care experience and the ability to work flexibly across ICU and step-down units. Compliance with extensive credentialing, immunization, and background checks is mandatory.
