Patient Population

Adolescents to Geriatrics

Unit & Work Environment

Neuro/Stroke PCU floor
Respiratory, cardiac, mixed medical patients
Titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring
Patient ratio: 1:4
36 beds with an average daily census of 30
Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
No block scheduling
Scrub color: Navy Blue
Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
Call: None
Holiday work: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience working with adolescent and geriatric patient populations
Experience titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring

Additional Information

Floating within facility as needed
No call requirements
Must comply fully to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
Locals accepted at same rate
Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours)
