Travel Registered Nurse (PCU) - Augusta, Georgia
Job Details

Patient Population
- Adolescents to Geriatrics
Unit & Work Environment
- Neuro/Stroke PCU floor
- Respiratory, cardiac, mixed medical patients
- Titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- 36 beds with an average daily census of 30
- Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
- No block scheduling
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Holiday work: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience working with adolescent and geriatric patient populations
- Experience titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring
Additional Information
- Floating within facility as needed
- No call requirements
- Must comply fully to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours)
