Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Augusta, Georgia

Position Details

Patient Population

Adolescents to Geriatrics

Unit & Work Environment

General Emergency Department (Non-Trauma)
Very large and busy with high acuity
Stroke and STEMI Certified
1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
59 Bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day
Unit Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis
Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Schedule & Requirements

Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Weekends: Every other weekend
Floating: Rare, within facility/scope of practice as needed
Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with adolescent and geriatric patient populations
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Notes

Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks)
Clinical screening required to determine fit before final manager decision
Locals accepted at same rate
Candidate must review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
