Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel/Contract
Location: Durham, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Facility Type: Short term acute care hospital, major teaching hospital, Level I trauma center
Charting System: EPIC
Guaranteed Hours: Yes
Flu Vaccine: Required, no exemptions or declinations accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Additional Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Must be completed within 90 days of start date
- Includes SSN trace, county searches for past 7 years, alias, nationwide, sex offender, international (if applicable), education verification, and sanction lists
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Required immunizations/vaccines: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Polio
- Seasonal flu vaccination required annually (no exemptions)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start
- References: Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months, at least one must be a supervisor
- Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exam required
- Other:
- Must set up a facility guest account prior to clearance for orientation and work access
- Completion of required online modules and facility-specific onboarding documents prior to start
- Color blind testing not required for this role
