IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) - Phoenix, Arizona

Job Details

Specialty: Interventional Radiology Tech
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks minimum
Shift: Day shifts, 8 hours Monday-Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Call Requirement: None
Floating: None outside of Radiology
Weekends: Possible some Saturdays
Unit: Interventional Radiology
Rooms: 2 general IR suites, 1 Spine IR room, 2 neuro endovascular suites
Cases per Day: 5-10
EMR System: Cerner, DR (PACS)
Orientation: Floor-specific for Philips Allera, Medrad injector

Procedures & Patient Types

GI/GJ tubes, Ports, Angiograms, Lumbar punctures, Myelograms, Nephrostomy tubes, Stents, IVC filters, Blood patch
Neuro endovascular procedures (embolizations, stents, stroke treatment) preferred but not required
Sedation cases involve 2 RNs and RT scrubbing with MD
Typical day may include 10-hour days for sedation cases

Required Qualifications

Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Arizona
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
BLS Certification
Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
Experience working with Level I Trauma patients
Experience with Cerner EMR system

Prior travel experience is required for some other specialties (ED, Neuro ICU), but not explicitly stated for this IR Tech role.
Facility is a Level I trauma center and a teaching hospital.
