Location: Northridge, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Description
Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a travel contract in a hospital setting. The role may involve working in outpatient, inpatient, and rehab areas with patient volume varying by assignment. Candidates may be required to float between different units.
Typical Patient Population & Areas Covered
- Orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, trauma patients
- Rehab patients including neuro and spinal cord injuries
- No NICU, pediatrics, PICU, ER, or ICU patients for OT
- May cover assigned area and float to other areas as needed
Work Schedule & Environment
- Shifts typically 8 hours, varying start times
- Possible shift patterns include Wed-Sun or Thu-Mon
- Weekend requirements vary by assignment
- Holidays are not required
- Orientation: Approximately 1.5 days of floor-specific orientation including job, unit, and EMR training
- EMR system: Cerner Powerchart
- Rehab aides and assistants available to support therapy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience (higher of stated requirements)
- Active California Occupational Therapy license
- Passed NBCOT exam (certification exam for OT)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with trauma patients preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred but not required
Additional Notes
- Patient load varies: outpatient up to 9 patients/day, inpatient up to 13 patients/day
- Uniform: maroon polo shirt, dark pants, closed-toed shoes; lab coat optional
- Candidates with inpatient clinical experience may be considered even if slightly under 1 year of experience depending on requisition specifics
