Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Night shift position
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
- Typical workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime after 40 hours
- Orientation schedule available starting from March through November 2026
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed (prior travel experience required)
- Comfortable caring for neuro and surgical patients within the medical-surgical unit
- BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Work history/resume
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- License verification
- Copy of required certifications
- One supervisory reference required at time of submission
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (local candidates accepted with rate adjustment)
Additional Information
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply
- Call back and on-call pay available
- Charge/preceptor pay available
This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs who have prior travel experience and are comfortable working night shifts with neuro and surgical patients.
