Description

Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Detroit, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will:

Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients.
Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Competency in Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) analysis
