Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NICU/PICU)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension to 26 weeks)
Job Summary
Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for hospital and outpatient patients requiring cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatment, and/or ventilatory support. Must be flexible and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
Shift Details
- Varied shifts; no guaranteed block scheduling
- On call, weekends, and holidays required
- Floating to other care areas within the facility and alternate locations within 20 miles may be required
- Assignments may fluctuate to meet department staffing needs
- Traveling in pairs does not guarantee same schedules or shifts
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of current experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience working with both adult and pediatric patients
- At least 2 years of current experience initiating and managing high frequency oscillation and jet ventilation
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Education
- Associate’s degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care
Certifications & Licensure
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in New Mexico
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP certification
- PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic EMR (training available on site)
