Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 shifts per week (9 hours each)
- On-call schedule: Approximately 7 days on call (Monday–Sunday), followed by 7 days off call
- Call hours: Monday–Friday = 14.5 hours, Saturday–Sunday = 24 hours
- Weekend call: Every other weekend based on current needs
- Holiday call: At least one holiday if it falls within the contract period
- May need to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles if needed
- Prior Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, including Neuro IR, is highly preferred
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
Required Credentials & Compliance
- Current professional license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- Resume or professional profile submission required
- At least two professional references required prior to first assignment
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, and National Sex Offender Registry
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Health requirements including:
- MMR vaccination or immunity proof
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season or mask-wearing if declined
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccination within last 10 years
- TB testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA with annual updates; chest X-ray if positive
- Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 or 1870+ masks)
- Statement of good health or physical exam prior to assignment and annually thereafter
- Completion of core competencies and specialty exams demonstrating clinical competency
- Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements
Additional Information
- Must meet all onboarding requirements including education verification, employment verification, and skills checklist
- Specialty exam and color vision testing required prior to start and updated every 3 years
- Badge photo required (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
