Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide care for Emergency Department (ED) patients as well as back-bedded patients.
• Work schedule includes every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
• May be required to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Prior travel experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
• Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+), updated annually.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
• Varicella immunity documentation or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
• Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.

Professional Requirements

• Submission of professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to assignment.
• Criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, and national sex offender registry within 30 days prior to start; updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Completion of specialty and core competency exams with minimum passing scores, updated as required.
• Completion of Epic test-out and training checklist with signed attestation prior to assignment.
• Completion of onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding.
• Submission of a forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).

• Must maintain a valid driver's license or state ID matching address on file.
• Must be able to comply with floating requirements within skill set and geographic area.
• This position requires flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
