Job Description
Seeking highly motivated critical care Registered Nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical care environment. The unit cares for some of the most critically ill patients, primarily focusing on cardiothoracic surgery (open heart recovery) and neuro/neurosurgery. The team also provides ICU-level care for COVID-19 patients, including those requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
Unit Details
- Unit Capacity: 15 beds
- Patient Population: Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Transplant, Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure, Cardiogenic Shock, Cardiomyopathy, Arrhythmias, Post Cardiopulmonary Arrest, Post Ventricular Assist Device Placement
- Patient Age Range: Adolescents through late adults (14 - 60+ years)
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2
Required Qualifications
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
- CVICU experience within the last year
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
