Job Opportunity: RN ICU

Location: Mason City, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Every third weekend / Every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Iowa, verified within 30 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association certification required.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Health Requirements:

  • Fit Test
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster or approved exemption/declination; declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • Influenza Vaccine (or approved exemption/declination; declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of initiation required prior to start)
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
  • Tdap vaccination (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (TB test); positive TB requires chest x-ray per regional guidelines
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
  • Color Vision test
• Background and Compliance:

  • Federal, Nationwide, and County Criminal Background Check (last 7 years), including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
  • Education Verification (highest academic degree or equivalent)
  • Professional references and resume submission
  • Various compliance forms including Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality Agreement, Integrity and Audit Services Form, Non-Employee Upload Form, and System Access Form.
  • Specialty Specific Competency Testing (completed within the last year)
  • Joint Commission CORE Exam (within the last year)
  • EPLS and OIG Exclusion checks (within 30 days)
  • NSO (National Sex Offender) check (within 30 days)
  • Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only)
  • Iowa Sing Report (Iowa-specific criminal and abuse registry check, within 30 days)
  • OFAC Sanctions Screening (within 30 days)

Additional Information

• Agency will provide a clinical skills checklist.
• All required documents and verifications must be uploaded and current prior to start.
• This position requires adherence to strict health and safety protocols, including immunizations and drug screening.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
