Physical Therapist - Home Health

Location: Red Bluff, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Home Health. The role involves providing skilled therapy primarily to orthopedic and geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities such as CHF and COPD.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
Active California Physical Therapy license
BLS Certification

Work Details

Average daily census: 78 patients (expected to grow)
Typical caseload: Approximately 5 visits per day
Patient types: Orthopedic/joint replacements, geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities
Service area covers most of Tehama County with some travel required (approx. 40 miles per day, expected to decrease)
Occasional Saturday shifts for orthopedic patients
Holidays off
Work hours: 8-hour day shifts, every other week schedule
EMR system: Netsmart (laptop provided)
No call or vent care required

Additional Information

Staff includes intake RN and office manager support
Nurse aides available
No floor-specific orientation required
