Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED) setting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• At least 2 years of RN Emergency Room experience, with ED experience within the last year

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Completion of specialty competency exams and core competencies with minimum passing scores.
• Completion of unit-specific checklists as applicable.
• Submission of professional references (minimum two).
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and other relevant screenings.
• Employment and education verifications.
• Health and immunization requirements including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted).
  • Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted).
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted).
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement).
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
  • Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA, chest X-ray if positive, annual TB questionnaire).
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual).
  • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
• Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• Driver’s license or state ID matching address requirements.

• Onboarding includes completion of various education attestations and pre-hire modules.
• Photo ID badge with specific photo requirements.
• Ongoing annual updates and re-verifications required for many credentials and health screenings.
