Job Opportunity: CVOR RN (Registered Nurse)

Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
• Shift times vary between 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM and 10:45 AM - 7:00 PM
• Some on-call and call-back required: approximately 2-3 days per week depending on experience and case load
• On-call every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience, including experience within the last year
• Acute care hospital experience
• Experience with DaVinci XI system
• Current and valid California RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Additional Onboarding Requirements

• Must pass various competency exams and screenings with a minimum score of 80% (including pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, core competencies, specialty exam, and skills checklist)
• Completion of sexual harassment prevention training (valid for 2 years)
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine series plus booster or declination
  • MMR (proof of immunity)
  • Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (declinations not accepted during flu season)
  • TB test within one year of start date
  • Varicella immunity
  • Tdap vaccine as an adult (declinations not accepted)
• Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
• Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work
• National criminal background check within one year of start date
• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC saliva test for California) within 60 days of start
• Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
• Submission of updated resume and two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
• Completion of employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
• Clear photo ID badge photo (headshot with plain background)

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Onboarding includes multiple required professional and personal health credentials to be completed before starting the assignment.
