Job Description

• Work Days: Monday - Thursday
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
• Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Orientation: Bi-weekly schedule; must be fully compliant to start on time

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience as MRI Tech (1st time travelers accepted)
• Specialty Skills:

  • MRI Tech - Diffusion (non-brain)
  • Gradient Echo imaging
  • Image Post-Processing (Apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction)
  • Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) & Perfusion
• Experience with Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification
• Education Verification: Related degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
• Physical Exam: Required within 12 months prior to start
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Immunizations & Health Documents:

  • TB Test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months
  • TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
  • Flu vaccination or declination (required during flu season)
• Color Blind Testing: Required for all candidates
• Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
• Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
• References: Two clinical references required

Requirements/Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
