Location: Arlington, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

This is a travel contract position for a Cath Lab Tech specializing in Radiology/Cardiology.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Virginia
  • Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Proof of I9 or attestation.
  • Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification.
  • Drug screening (negative 11-panel) within 30 days of start.
  • Physical exam within one year of start, including ability to meet physical demands.
  • Fit mask test within last 12 months (specific mask types accepted).
  • Immunizations and titers: TB test, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season.
  • Radiation badge and attestation of prior radiation exposure required for Cath Lab Techs.
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation, safety manuals, and competency exams.
  • Completion of facility-required forms and acknowledgements including confidentiality, code of ethics, dress code, infection control, parking, and vendor access.

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of 2 clinical references.
  • Skills checklist and performance evaluations as applicable.
  • Annual updates for core competencies and TB questionnaire.
  • Candidate must complete a virtual or onsite orientation and sign all required acknowledgements prior to start.
  • Candidate must wear both agency and facility badges at all times.

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete multiple facility-specific documents and training modules before starting.
  • Radiation badges are no longer provided by the agency for new candidates; candidates must have their own or be grandfathered in.

This position requires strict adherence to all compliance, licensing, and certification requirements to ensure patient and staff safety in a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab environment.
