Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Temp Position

Location: Moore, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Report treatment effectiveness and provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic records.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to APTA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Oklahoma.
• Minimum 1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience within the last year.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) and Rehabilitation settings.
• New graduates considered if they have completed Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation).
