Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Charge RN

Shift: 4x10 hour day or night shifts (optional 5x8 hour day/night shifts)
Weekend Shifts: Some required

Job Description

• Will work as charge nurse every shift (charge nurse premium applies).
• Must have leadership experience in a Medical-Surgical unit within the past year.
• Experience with staff scheduling and coaching required.
• No floating required.
• Charting experience with EPIC system is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Leadership experience in a Medical-Surgical unit within the past year
• Experience with scheduling and coaching staff
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Tech Cert Verification - National
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID).
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, national sex offender registry, education verification, and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Primary source verification of New York RN license within 30 days of start.
• Health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 days of contract signing, including:

  • Physical exam (within 1 year)
  • Fit mask test (annual)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
  • Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year
• References: 2 references within 3 years required for certain candidates.

• Work history verification of at least 2 past employments.
