Xray Tech - Travel Contract

Location: Burien, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Xray Tech for a travel contract position in a hospital radiology department. The role involves performing general X-ray imaging with a focus on fluoro, surgery (OR), emergency department (ED) X-rays, inpatient, and portable studies.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Xray Tech
  • Active ARRT (R) certification
  • Valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist License at time of application
  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • Must provide own radiation badge (facility does not provide)

Work Environment & Duties

  • Department has 2 X-ray rooms
  • No floating or coverage of other areas required
  • Average of approximately 30 scans/studies per day
  • Imaging equipment includes GE and Siemens systems
  • Software systems used: McKesson, EPIC
  • No in-house radiologist or Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA)
  • No IV starts required
  • Shifts: 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, Saturday through Monday, with on-call as needed
  • Scrubs provided (basic color)
  • One-week orientation, Monday through Friday, day shift

Additional Notes

  • Prior experience with ED X-rays and surgery imaging is a plus
  • Must have own radiation badge for monitoring exposure
  • Schedule includes weekend shifts and call responsibilities
