Job Description

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM to 7 AM)
• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Georgia
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard for Medical Surgical RN roles (typically 1+ years)
• Certifications (must be current and valid):

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – required for Medical Surgical specialty
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required if working with pediatric patients in related areas
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – if applicable
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – may be required depending on unit

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Flu vaccine or signed declination (strongly encouraged during flu season)
  • TB testing (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months, with follow-up if positive
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer required
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination required
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap recommended (not required for clearance)
• Color blindness testing required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (confirm if applicable)
• Skills checklist updated within 12 months
• Work history verification required (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
• Two clinical references required

Additional Information

• Background check must be completed prior to start; no pending background checks allowed
• Some certifications may be required within 30 days of hire if not prior to start
• Candidates must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start
• Physical exam must be uploaded with appropriate expiration date
• Candidates cannot start with drug screen results pending
• Clinical remediation is not allowed for competency exams; candidates have up to 3 attempts before cancellation
