Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Rice Lake, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Primarily outpatient setting with some floating to inpatient care depending on schedule needs
• Average workload: 12-15 patients per shift
• Patient types: Mainly orthopedic (post-surgical, general pain), neurological, imbalance, weakness
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced, busy environment
• Outpatient schedule is created for you
• Friendly environment with collaborative physicians and therapists

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• No weekends or holiday work required

Orientation & Training

• One-on-one orientation with manager starting day one
• Computer-based trainings included
• 1-2 days with a preceptor; expected to take a patient independently by day 2 and full caseload by day 3

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin Physical Therapist licensure
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist outside of school (preferably 3 years)
• Prefer inpatient experience but outpatient-only experience will be considered
• Prefer prior experience with Cerner electronic medical records system

Additional Information

• Must clock in and out at the facility
• Dress code: scrubs or business casual with closed-toed shoes
• Workload includes evaluations, follow-ups, and helping direct PTAs
