Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Manage OB triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care.
  • No circulating or scrubbing in the OR required.
  • Use of OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records (experience with these systems highly preferred).
  • Provide nursing care within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Teach patients and their support persons.
  • Document patient care in medical records.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems.
  • Certifications in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and STABLE program.

Additional Information

  • Must provide a current resume and skills checklist (within 1 year).
  • Certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but willingness to obtain is required.
  • Oregon RN license does not need to be active at time of submission but willingness to obtain is required.

Notes

  • This position involves night shifts.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
