Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry I

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift includes day shift with up to 3 Saturdays worked per 6-week schedule period.
• Facility is closed on Sundays.
• Holidays are assessed individually based on surgical volumes; working on holidays may be required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Fit Test
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (9 or 10 panel drug screen with specific substances tested; no THC)
• COVID-19 Vaccine (including booster or approved declination/exemption)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof
• Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted)
• Influenza Vaccine or approved declination/exemption (seasonal)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA (TB test) with chest x-ray if positive (per regional requirements)
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
• Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
• Tdap vaccination (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction)

Professional and Background Requirements

• Criminal Background Check (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years; includes SSN verification)
• Education Verification (highest level of academic education verified)
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check
• OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check, including statewide checks for Michigan if applicable
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
• Code of Conduct Form
• Confidentiality and Security Agreement
• Integrity and Audit Services Form
• Non-Employee Upload Form (specific to state requirements)
• System Access Form (to be completed one week before start)
• Joint Commission CORE Exam (within one year)
• Specialty Specific Competency Testing (must be completed within one year)
• Skills Checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
• Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training (Iowa only)
• State-specific registry checks (Iowa Criminal History, Sex Offender, Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Registries)

Additional Notes

• All required documents and certifications must be current and uploaded as per onboarding instructions.
• License verification must be dated within 30 days of start.
• Specialty competency exam must be attached and completed within the last year.
• Some forms and checks are state-specific and must be completed accordingly.

This position is suitable for experienced RNs with telemetry skills who meet the above licensure, certification, and compliance requirements and are available for a 13-week assignment in Des Moines, Iowa.
